Wireless hidden cameras are a type of camera usually small in size that allows you to "record" people usually without them knowing. These cameras are referred to as pinhole cameras or hidden cameras because they are usually not visible to the subject being filmed. A wireless pinhole camera can be disguised within another object such as a smoke detector, clock radio, baseball hats, plants and cell phones! Wireless hidden cameras are easier to use and install. The old wired cameras would be connected to TV, VCR, or DVR, the new wireless ones however can transmit a video signal to a receiver/recording device up to a few hundred feet! There are several different situations for the use of a hidden camera I have listed a few below with an example of each one, just so you can get a feel for what purpose you may use them for!
Thanks to advances in the technology used to manufacture them, wireless security cameras have come down considerably in price over the past few years. In addition, wireless technology has provided for easier and less costly installation. Wireless security cameras still cost more than their wired counterparts, but this difference in price can be easily overcome by savings in the cost of expensive video cable and its installation.
During the past few years, the wireless camera has become increasingly popular. Traditionally, wired cameras have been in use (to a very limited extent). This was partly due to the high price of wired cameras, and partly due to the need to lay wires from camera to image/video recorder and/or monitor. With the advent of new and cheaper technologies in video processing and memory enhancement, it has become much more feasible to set up a low-budget wireless camera for home and office surveillance. wireless pinhole camera
